Precise tool lubrication with mini nozzles for maximum tool life
In addition to the lubricant, the correct dosage plays a very important role in the service life of the tools and process reliability.
To ensure that the lubricant always goes exactly where it is needed, we offer a wide range of mini spray nozzles that can be installed directly in the tool.
In addition to savings through longer tool life and reduced downtime, this can significantly reduce the amount of lubricant required for the process. This has the added benefit of reducing the amount of residue in the finished components.
Advantages of internal tool lubrication
Sometimes it is just a small thread former in the final machining step that repeatedly causes problems because the lubricant has already been used up by the lubrication of the blank.
One option would be to increase the amount of grease applied to the circuit board in order to improve the service life of the thread former. However, this would significantly increase lubricant consumption. In addition, there would be a large amount of lubricant residue on the finished components, as too much lubricant would be applied to areas where it is not needed.
It is precisely in these cases that our in-die lubrication systems demonstrate their advantages. Thanks to their small dimensions, the mini nozzles can be inserted into the tool at precisely those positions where additional lubrication is required. With separate control, a small spray of lubricant at the right time is often enough to significantly extend service life and ensure process reliability.
Suitable dispensing systems
All our Dispensing systems are compatible or expandable to include additional spray points for internal tool lubrication. Depending on the process requirements, an existing signal is used or a separate control system is employed.
Our mini spray nozzles
Our mini nozzles are available in many different designs and with different spray patterns to suit every application.
The spray patterns range from 10° round spray to 60° flat spray to 360° ring spray.
The mini nozzles are connected via a 6 mm coaxial hose. The matching LB-002 metering valve can be attached to the outside of the tool and ensures precise adjustment of the required lubricant quantity.
