WATER-BASED IRMCO PIPE BENDING LUBRICANTS ARE PRACTICE-TESTED AND MOST EFFICIENT
The water-based IRMCO tube bending lubricants minimise tool wear and keep the component and tool cool. In most cases, the workpieces are dry after machining and can be processed immediately. Over-welding is also possible immediately without causing welding porosity or excessive, burnt-in residues. The low lubricant consumption and a formula that relies on regenerative raw materials are an advantage.
IRMCO gels 980 020, 980 000 and 980 301 have been field-proven in tube bending for more than 20 years. Before the development of these exceptional bending lubricants, oils, grease pastes, greases and chlorinated paraffin containing products were the norm. The development of IRMCO GEL eliminated the risk of liquids or viscous materials dripping or flying out of tubes.

High lubricating effect and best wear protection

IRMCO® GEL 980 020
When selecting the most suitable IRMCO pipe bending lubricant for your operation, the material of the pipe (steel, stainless steel, aluminium, aluminised steel, etc.) and the material of which the mandrel tools and scrapers are made (aluminium bronze, polished chrome-plated steels, etc.) should be taken into account. The method of application (brush, pump or spray) also plays an important role in the machining process. One possibility is to use a liquid gel for spray applications. With this, the lubricant is conveyed through the mandrel bar by a dosing system (DS-6) specially developed for tube bending machines to the front of the bending mandrel, where it is atomised. The gel is suitable for all materials of any diameter, with wall thicknesses of up to 3 mm. The dispensing technology is decisive for success.
IRMCO® GEL 980 000
The standard gel product is recommended for every tube bending application of all materials. It is applied by brush or piston pump through the mandrel bar. It is particularly suitable for medium to large diameters.
IRMCO® GEL 980 301
This IRMCO gel is suitable for all extremely heavy tube bending operations of all materials. It is applied through the mandrel bar by brush or piston pump.
